Techsploration Teams

Since 1999, Waycobah First Nation Secondary School has been one of only eight schools in the Province to participate in the "pilot program" of Techsploration.  The year 2001 was the last year of the "pilot program" it will take "full flight" from now on.  Techsploration is a lot of fun, you get the opportunity to explore different trades, technical and technology-related occupations and you become more aware of the importance of choosing the right job in life.  It also helps young women understand the significance of math and science to their future career.  Techsploration increases your level of confidence and enhances your ability to appreciate the values of math, science, technology and keeping your career options open.  This helps getting women in jobs that you mostly see men in. It shows no matter who you are you can do what you want to do.
